This event will spotlight two Pokémon: Karrablast and Shelmet, offering players a fantastic opportunity to encounter these creatures more frequently in the wild. Keep your eyes peeled for their Shiny versions, which will also be making an appearance.

Who Are the New Pokémon in the Pokémon Go February Community Day?

Karrablast and Shelmet are the stars of the show for this Community Day. Evolving Karrablast during the event or up until February 16th at 10:00 p.m. local time will reward you with an Escavalier that knows the powerful Charged Attack, Razor Shell. This move boasts 35 power in Trainer Battles and an impressive 55 power in Gyms and Raids. Similarly, evolving Shelmet within the same timeframe will grant you an Accelgor equipped with the Charged Attack Energy Ball, delivering a consistent 90 power across all battle types.

Participating in the Special Research will allow you to encounter Karrablast and Shelmet adorned with special Dual Destiny-themed backgrounds, along with earning a Premium Battle Pass and a Rare Candy XL. Additionally, the Timed Research event extends a week beyond the main event, offering more chances to catch these Pokémon with their unique backgrounds when you log in during Community Day.

Don’t Forget the Bonuses

The February Community Day comes packed with enticing bonuses. Players will enjoy 3× XP for catching Pokémon, double the usual Candy, and a 2× chance for Trainers level 31 and up to obtain Candy XL from catches. Lure Modules and Incense (excluding Daily Adventure Incense) will last for three hours, and don't forget to take photos during the event for a little surprise.
