The development team is focusing on three key elements: crafting compelling characters, introducing a new protagonist, and designing engaging enemies. They aim to authentically recreate the historical setting of Kyoto, filled with real-life locations, to immerse players in a rich environment. The ultimate goal is to deliver the "ultimate sword fighting action" experience, emphasizing the visceral satisfaction of slicing through foes.While specifics about the new protagonist remain under wraps, it's confirmed that Onimusha: Way of the Sword will be set during the Edo Period, where players will battle against evil creatures called Genma. A twist of fate will see the protagonist wielding an Oni Gauntlet, using it to vanquish enemies and feed it souls. The second Open Beta test for Monster Hunter Wilds is on the horizon, and Capcom has revealed what players can expect. Additionally, there will be a Gypceros Hunt, a training area, and online features such as Private Lobbies and Online Single Player mode. Private Lobbies are ideal for playing with friends without appearing in public searches, while Online Single Player allows players to enjoy the game solo but with the option to use an S.O.S. Flare for multiplayer assistance when needed.Players can transfer their data from the first Open Beta to this new one, with returning features like Character Creator, Story Trial, and the Doshaguma hunt. Monster Hunter Wilds is set to launch on February 28, and the second Open Beta, which includes Cross-Play, will run from:
