Black Clover M: Rise of the Wizard King is set to celebrate its first anniversary
                To mark it, fans can now look out for the debut of the original Wizard King, Lumiere
                That's on top of a whole host of other events debuting
            

Black Clover M: Rise of the Wizard King is set to debut a new character in celebration of its first anniversary, and fans of both the 3D ARPG and its original series may be surprised to learn it's a very important character indeed. And that's because SSR Mage Lumiere is your celebratory character for 2024!

Those of you who are longtime readers or watchers of the Black Clover series will recognise the name Lumiere instantly, as he casts a long shadow over the series as a whole. His origin and title as the first Wizard King are what main characters Asta and Yuno strive to inherit.

Fittingly for his pedigree, Lumiere comes with plenty of brutally effective abilities. A Harmony-type character, he can use Wizard King's Dignity to ensure consistent critical hits, which, when landed, also boost mobility and buffs based on surviving allies, while also inflicing Immortality Immunity on enemies. Finally, you get the massively useful ability to take an Extra Turn in battle after defeating an enemy, making Lumiere a formidable momentum-building force on the battlefield.

Now in fairness, this isn't as much of a deep cut as I portray it since (spoilers) ol' Lumiere does appear in the series proper. However, it's still clearly going to be a fun addition for series fans to see someone so vital to its backstory appear in-game.
