A New Evil Ending for Baldur's Gate 3 Patch 7

Larian Studios recently unveiled a 52-second cinematic teaser on X (formerly Twitter), showcasing a new evil ending for the Dark Urge. The preview depicts the grim fate of the Dark Urge's companions as they fall under the sway of their "father," Bhaal, culminating in a horrifying display of power and control.

The Dark Urge, seizing control of the Netherbrain, forces their companions to their deaths, a chilling prelude to a reign of terror. The narration ominously declares, "Time for the final act. Your tragedy has become mankind's," foreshadowing the Dark Urge's own eventual demise.

This is just one of several new evil endings promised in Patch 7. Larian's April community update highlighted their commitment to enhancing the game's darker narrative options, promising improved evil endings for even the most sinister playthroughs. Importantly, these endings aren't exclusive to the Dark Urge character. Previously teased endings include the Dark Urge wading through a sea of blood and corpses, and a town consumed by "sheer mindless bliss" under the influence of the Absolute.

What Else is Coming in Patch 7?

Patch 7 is a substantial update, brimming with new content and improvements. In addition to the new evil endings, players can anticipate a dynamic split-screen mode for co-op play, enhanced challenges in Honour Mode, and a highly-requested modding toolkit.

Larian Studios has confirmed that this isn't the end of Baldur's Gate 3's development. With crossplay and photo mode on the horizon, the studio remains dedicated to ongoing improvements based on player feedback.
