After two failed launches and months of anticipation, *Rune Slayer* has finally hit the scene, and it's nothing short of spectacular. Whether you're new to MMORPGs or a seasoned veteran, diving into *Rune Slayer* can be overwhelming. But fear not! We've put together a comprehensive guide to help you kickstart your adventure in this thrilling new world.

Rune Slayer Beginner Tips

Here are some crucial tips we wish we had known from the start to make your journey smoother:

Do not randomly attack other players

When we heard *Rune Slayer* would feature full-loot PvP, we braced for chaos. However, that fear was largely misplaced. **In *Rune Slayer*, dying—even to other players—doesn't cost you anything**. You simply respawn and continue your adventure.

However, **attacking other players increases your bounty**. The more players you kill, the larger your bounty grows, and the more items you'll drop upon death. Essentially, the only way to engage in full-loot PvP is by initiating combat and risking a higher bounty.

For this reason, we strongly recommend **avoiding player attacks** unless you have a solid strategy or a supportive group to back you up.

Craft Bags ASAP

You'll quickly discover that both your **bank space and inventory are quite limited**. With a cap of 50 items, your inventory can fill up fast. Fortunately, the game allows you to **craft bags** to expand your storage. You can equip up to two bags, starting with the **Cotton Bag**.

To craft a Cotton Bag, gather **Cotton from north of Wayshire and Flax from the south** (be cautious of mobs in the south). Each Cotton Bag adds an extra 10 slots, so make crafting these a priority.

Your pets don’t actually die

It's a common misconception that your tamed pets die permanently when their health hits zero. In reality, **a pet that "dies" is simply unavailable for 5 minutes**. You can check the cooldown by holding T. After the cooldown, hold T again to summon your pet back into action.

Bonus Tip: To quickly **heal your pet**, store and unstore it at the stable master. You have one free slot, so make use of it.

Grab all the Quests (Yes, all of them)

*Rune Slayer* is packed with quests, many of which are non-repeatable and somewhat forgettable, often resembling the classic "Kill 10 X" quests found in many MMORPGs. To manage this efficiently, **accept every quest you encounter**, including those from the Job board. Completing multiple quests simultaneously is much easier than tackling them one by one, and you might even find opportunities to combine them.

Craft everything at least once (even things you don’t need)

While prioritizing what you need is key, **use any spare materials to craft items you don't immediately need**. Crafting new items for the first time often **unlocks more advanced crafting options**. For instance, smelting your first Iron Ore can unlock a range of new Iron Armor recipes. Don't hoard your materials; craft them to unlock new possibilities.

Join a Guild

*Rune Slayer* is designed to be solo-friendly, but as you delve deeper, you'll encounter **tougher enemies** designed for group combat. The simplest way to find a group is by **joining a guild**. Use the general chat to express your interest in joining a guild, or check out the official *Rune Slayer* Discord server for guild recruitment.
