Midjiwan has unleashed a massive update for The Battle of Polytopia: a complete overhaul of the Aquarion Tribe! This marks a significant refresh for the game's first special tribe, originally introduced in 2017.

Aquarion's Aquatic Transformation

The Aquarion have received a dramatic makeover. Their land units now boast mermaid tails, making them amphibious or fully aquatic. This grants them effortless water traversal, although they move more slowly on land. The update also introduces flooded terrain, allowing land and naval units to occupy the same space for the first time.

The Aquarion's buildings have also embraced the aquatic lifestyle. Construction on water is now possible, and Lost Cities are hidden within deep-sea ruins, providing ideal bases for those who prefer sea-based warfare.

A new structure, the Atoll, connects water cities, eliminating the need for roads. Aqua Crops, now a permanent addition to the Aquarion arsenal, function similarly to land-based crops.

New aquatic creatures have also joined the fray. Sharks provide surprise attacks, Puffers offer long-range bombardments, and Jellies unleash electric shocks on their enemies.

Returning favorites, the Tridentions and Crabs, are back! Crabs now flood the tiles they traverse, synergizing perfectly with the mermaid-tailed troops. Curious to see the changes in action? Check out the trailer below!

Midjiwan has undeniably revitalized the Aquarion Tribe. It's worth noting that Lost Cities appear at level 3 and include pre-built walls.
