Atelier Resleriana: Forgotten Alchemy and the Polar Night Liberator is shutting down late in March
Atelier Resleriana's servers are shutting down on March 28th, less than a year after its global release. Koei Tecmo cited an inability to maintain their intended quality standards as the reason for the closure. In-app purchases will be disabled on January 27th. Several in-game events are planned before the final shutdown, allowing players to utilize any remaining Lodestar Gems.
This closure comes as no surprise to many within the saturated gacha market. While Atelier Resleriana showed promise, it faced criticism regarding its gacha rates and the implementation of its alchemy mechanics, a core element of the Atelier series. The gameplay, while functional, lacked the engagement to compete effectively.
