Studio Wildcard has recently released an updated content roadmap for ARK: Survival Ascended, detailing nearly two years of planned updates. Since its early access launch in late November 2023, ARK: Survival Ascended has been receiving regular content updates from the Redmond, Washington-based developer.

On January 11, Studio Wildcard unveiled its roadmap, which extends until late 2026. The initial update on the agenda is not a new content drop but a significant technical patch that will upgrade ARK: Survival Ascended to Unreal Engine 5.5. This upgrade is expected to bring substantial performance improvements. Additionally, Studio Wildcard plans to reintroduce support for Nvidia's frame generation, which was previously removed in 2024 due to engine issues.

ARK: Survival Ascended Content Roadmap for 2025–2026

The UE5 update will also facilitate Studio Wildcard's ongoing efforts to restructure the game's data, allowing players to download ARK: Survival Ascended DLC packs individually. This approach aims to make the game's install size more manageable. Following the UE5 update, new content is slated for April 2025, including a Fantastic Tame and a free Bison creature.

In June 2025, a new premium map will be introduced as paid DLC, with further details to be revealed possibly in early spring. August 2025 will see the addition of another Fantastic Tame and a community-voted free creature.

Moving into 2026, Studio Wildcard plans to remaster ARK: Survival Evolved's Genesis expansions. Genesis: Part 1 is scheduled for April 2026, followed by Part 2 in August 2026. Both parts will be released alongside segments of Bob's True Tales, a new content drop included in the game's season pass.
