Ariana Grande is expanding her acting career with a leading role in the fourth installment of Meet the Parents, where she will star alongside Ben Stiller and Robert De Niro.

According to a report from THR, the pop superstar-turned-Wicked actress is set to join the beloved comedy franchise. Universal Pictures has scheduled the reunion of the Focker and Byrnes families for November 25, 2026.

Stiller and De Niro have officially signed on to reprise their iconic roles as feuding in-laws for the fourth time. Blythe Danner and Teri Polo, who appeared in all three previous films, are also in talks to return. While specific plot details remain under wraps, THR notes that one storyline will focus on the engagement between Polo and Stiller's on-screen son and a strong-willed woman considered an unconventional match. Sources confirm Grande will portray the fiancée.

Behind the camera, franchise veteran John Hamburg will write and direct Meet the Parents 4. Original trilogy director Jay Roach joins as a producer, along with Robert De Niro and Jane Rosenthal representing Tribeca Productions. Ben Stiller and John Lesher will produce via Red Hour Films, while Hamburg contributes through Particular Pictures. Universal's Matt Reilly and Jacqueline Garell will oversee the project for the studio.

While Grande is internationally celebrated for her music career, with seven studio albums including 2024's Eternal Sunshine, her acting credentials continue to grow. Her performance as Galinda/Glinda in last year's Wicked adaptation earned critical acclaim and an Oscar nomination for Best Supporting Actress. She will return for the sequel, Wicked: For Good, scheduled for release on November 21, 2025.
