When Is Applin Debuting in Pokémon GO?

Mark your calendars! The Sweet Discoveries event kicks off on April 24th at 10:00 a.m. and continues until April 29th at 8:00 p.m. local time. The highlight of the event is the debut of Applin, a Grass and Dragon-type Pokémon hailing from the Galar region.

To evolve Applin into Flapple, you'll need 200 Applin Candies and 20 Tart Apples. If you're aiming for Appletun, gather the same number of candies but with 20 Sweet Apples. For the final evolution to Dipplin, and then to Hydrapple, you'll need to follow a similar process.

The evolution process involves collecting Apples, which will appear in the wild during the event. Tapping on these Apples might reward you with a Tart Apple, a Sweet Apple, or even Applin itself. Increase your chances of finding these Apples by using Mossy Lure Modules.

Applin is a unique Pokémon that lives its entire life inside an apple, cleverly hiding from its natural predators, bird Pokémon, by masquerading as just another piece of fruit. It's undoubtedly one of the cutest additions to the Pokémon GO roster.

During the Sweet Discoveries event, you can also grab new avatar items from the shop, including the charming Applin Headband and Applin Apron. On the bonus side, you'll earn double Candy for every Pokémon you catch during the event.

Keep an eye out for Shiny Delibird and Shiny Skwovet, as there's an increased chance of encountering them in the wild. Additionally, your chances of hatching Shiny Delibird, Shiny Cherubi, and Shiny Skwovet from 7 km Eggs are boosted.
