Ubisoft Mainz has recently shared exciting new details about the upcoming game, Anno 117: Pax Romana, through a captivating trailer. Initially announced to feature exploration in two distinct regions, Lazio and Albion, the preview suggests that players will start their journey in the peaceful region of Lazio. However, an unexpected disaster will push players to venture into the untamed territories of Albion, representing Britain.

Creative Director Manuel Rainer explains that while Lazio offers a serene beginning, the move to Albion introduces players to a challenging environment. Known for its harsh climate, rebellious tribes, and its distance from Rome, Albion presents significant governance challenges. Players step into the shoes of a governor, tasked with navigating these difficulties, but not just through force. Instead, fostering peace by respecting and integrating with local customs is emphasized as a key strategy.

One of the game's highlighted features is the ability to customize ships. Players can strategically choose between enhancing speed with oarsmen or bolstering firepower with onboard archery turrets, adding a layer of tactical depth to the gameplay.

Anno 117: Pax Romana is set to launch in 2025 and will be available on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series S/X, promising an immersive experience in the ancient world.
