The game introduces a new currency called Stardust, which never expires, giving players more flexibility in their in-game purchases. Among the new features, players can look forward to a permanent Tag Mode with the Infected role, native proximity voice chat, limited-time events, and a variety of new and returning mini-games alongside a range of new cosmetics to personalize their experience.

It's important to note that Among Us 3D is distinct from the original Among Us VR, which was released in 2022. According to the FAQs on Schell Games’ website, the decision to develop separate versions allowed the team to continue updating Among Us VR while ensuring a high-quality, tailored experience for Among Us 3D on PC.
