*Town of Salem* is an engaging game that plunges players into a world filled with murder, accusations, deceit, and mob hysteria. Here's how to dive into the action and master the game:
How to Play
*Town of Salem* accommodates between 7 to 15 players, who are randomly assigned to different alignments, including Town, Mafia, Serial Killers, Arsonists, and Neutrals. If you find yourself as a Town member—the good guys—your mission is to identify and eliminate the Mafia and other villains before they take you down. The challenge lies in the fact that you won't know who among you is a Town member and who is secretly plotting your demise.
On the flip side, if you're cast as an evil role, such as a Serial Killer, you'll need to covertly dispatch Town members under the cover of night while evading capture. It's a thrilling game of cat and mouse where every move counts.
Roles
With 33 unique roles, *Town of Salem* guarantees a fresh experience with each game. Before the game kicks off, players gather in a lobby where the host selects which roles will be in play. Once the game starts, roles are randomly assigned from the chosen list. Each player receives an in-game role card detailing their abilities and alignments. Game Phases
Night
During the night phase, most roles execute their abilities. Serial Killers quietly murder, Doctors work to heal the attacked, and Sheriffs investigate for any suspicious activity. It's a crucial time where the fate of many can be sealed in secrecy.
Day
The day phase is when Town members gather to discuss their suspicions about who might be an evil role. When the voting phase begins, a majority vote from the Town sends someone to trial.
Defense
In the defense phase, you get the chance to plead your case and prove your innocence to the Town. A convincing story can save you from the gallows, while a weak defense might lead to your demise.
Judgement
During the judgement phase, the Town votes on the fate of the accused. Players can vote guilty, innocent, or abstain. If the guilty votes outnumber the innocent votes, the defendant faces execution by hanging!
Customization
*Town of Salem* allows for extensive personalization. Players can select their own map (town setting), character, pet, lobby icon, death animation, house, and a custom name. Your choices are visible to other players, adding a personal touch to your gaming experience.
Achievements
With over 200 unique achievements to unlock, *Town of Salem* keeps you motivated. Earning these achievements rewards you with various in-game items, enhancing your gameplay and giving you more to strive for.
