Rules of the Game Svara (Svarka)

Svara (Svarka) is an engaging card game played with a 32-card deck, ranging from 7 to Ace. It can be enjoyed by a minimum of two players, and the total number of possible combinations in the game is 4960.

Rules

Each player is dealt three cards in a clockwise direction. The winner is determined by the player who accumulates the highest number of points. The point values are calculated based on the following rules:

1. Cards from 7 to 9 award points equal to their face value (7 to 9 points respectively).
2. Cards 10, J, Q, K each award 10 points.
3. Aces award 11 points each.
4. Cards of the same suit are summed for their total points. For example:
   • Q♦, K♦, 10♠ total 20 points.
   • 10♠, 8♠, K♥ total 18 points.
5. Aces can be combined regardless of suit. Two Aces total 22 points, and three Aces total 33 points.
6. 7♣, also known as "Ceco Jonchev, Chechak, Chotora, Shpoka, or Yoncho," can be combined with any other card to award 11 points.
7. Three 7s total 34 points and represent the strongest combination in the game.
8. Three of a kind combinations are valued at three times the value of the lead card. For example:
   • Three 8s total 24 points (3 x 8 = 24).
   • Three Queens total 30 points (3 x 10 = 30).

Examples

• 7♥, 9♦, 9♣ total 9 points (the lowest possible score).
• 10♠, 10♦, 10♣ total 30 points.
• 8♣, K♥, 9♦ total 10 points.
• K♥, 9♥, Q♣ total 19 points.
• Q♣, Q♥, 9♦ total 10 points.
• A♠, A♦, 10♣ total 22 points.
• 8♠, A♦, 7♣ total 22 points.
• 10♦, 9♦, J♦ total 29 points.
• Q♣, Q♥, Q♦ total 30 points.
• 7♣, K♥, K♦ total 31 points.
• 7♣, A♥, A♦ total 33 points.
• Two 7s, regardless of suit, total 23 points.

Betting

1. Ante: Before the cards are dealt, each player places an initial bet called the ante.
2. Blind Bet: The player to the left of the dealer can place a blind bet before seeing their cards.
3. Doubling the Blind Bet: If a blind bet is placed, the next player to the left has the option to double it.
4. Skipping Blind Bet: If a player skips the blind bet, the next player cannot initiate a new blind bet. (Blind bets are optional.)
5. Post-Deal Betting: After the cards are dealt, players make their bets.
6. Doubling the Bet: If a blind bet exists, the next player must at least double the bet.
7. Seeing Other Players' Cards: A player who made a blind bet can see other players' cards by paying the bet.
8. Uncontested Blind Bet: If no one pays the blind bet, the player who placed the last blind bet wins.
9. Winning the Game: The player with the highest points wins the game.
10. No Bets: If no blind bet or other bets are made, the dealer wins.
11. Tie: If two or more players have the same number of points, it results in a "SVARA."
12. SVARA: A new game that includes all the bets from the previous game.
13. Joining SVARA: Any player can join the SVARA by paying the SVARA join amount.
