READY! for Kindergarten is the leading school readiness program.

READY! for Kindergarten is the signature school readiness program from The Children's Reading Foundation, created for children aged 2 to 5, as well as older children who may need support in core skill areas.

The READY! for Kindergarten app prepares your child for lifelong learning and school success with engaging interactive games. Each activity is designed to strengthen a specific foundational skill. These games encourage repeated play, because young children learn best through frequent repetition in a nurturing and encouraging setting.

Tap the "i" icon in the lower right corner of each game to learn more about the skill it teaches.

As your child plays, the app sends progress data to the reports section, where you can track development in each skill area. Reports compare your child’s progress with that of similar-aged children across the U.S., helping you focus on areas they may need more support.

For children ages 2 to 5, our app’s games help your child sing the ABCs, match letter shapes, identify letter sounds, build vocabulary, count to 30, and recognize emotions.

The READY! program is built on 26 Age-Level Targets—key, measurable skills a typical 5-year-old should have upon entering kindergarten. These research-backed targets were developed by early learning experts in collaboration with families, researchers, and educators over a seven-year period.

READY! for Kindergarten received a Top 100 Award from District Administration Magazine in 2013.
