The Kiwanis Club of New Kingston (KCNK) is excited to bring the fun and educational KCNK Little Bee Spelling App to young learners aged 4 to 9. Sponsored by Grace Kennedy Money Services (GKMS) and Western Union (WU), this app is designed to help children master spelling in an engaging way.

The KCNK Little Bee Game offers three exciting modes: Learning Mode 1, Learning Mode 2, and Competition Mode. Each mode contains 10 levels with over 15 words per level, making it perfect for progressive learning. You can play this game anywhere, anytime, without needing an internet connection.

In the Settings, students can personalize their experience by entering their name, age, parish, and school. Then, they can choose their preferred mode to start learning.

Learning Mode 1 is great for beginners. Here, students tap each letter of a word from left to right. The app pronounces each letter aloud, helping kids learn as they go. If a mistake is made, they can easily undo it by tapping the error. To hear the word again, just tap the little bee icon in the top left corner. To move to the next word, each word must be spelled correctly, and all words must be completed to finish a level. Students can retry any level at any time, but they must complete earlier levels before advancing.

Learning Mode 2 adds a bit more challenge. Students are given jumbled letters and must correctly spell the word. Like in Learning Mode 1, mistakes can be undone, and the word can be replayed by tapping the bee icon. Correct spelling is required to progress through the words and complete each level, with the ability to retry levels.

Competition Mode is where the fun ramps up! Students are presented with jumbled letters plus extra letters and must spell the word correctly within a timed challenge. Each level features 10 random words from the level's pool. The goal is to complete each level as quickly as possible. The leaderboard on the main page displays the time spent on each level, adding a competitive edge.

Students can reset the game anytime via the Settings page. It’s important to wait until a letter is fully pronounced before selecting the next one. Both students and parents can capture screenshots of the leaderboard to share with teachers.
