Bài Cào - Cào Rùa

Bài Cào (also known as Cào Cào, or Three Cards in Northern Vietnam) is Vietnam's most popular free card game traditionally played during festivals and gatherings.

Game Overview

This highly competitive betting game involves players wagering equal amounts at the start. After dealing, the player with the highest score collects all bets. In case of ties, additional rounds determine the ultimate winner.

Game Rules

The game uses a standard 52-card deck:

• Each player receives 3 cards
• Cards 2-10 count as face value (2=2 points, 3=3 points, etc.)
• Jack, Queen, King = 10 points each
• Ace = 1 point

Scoring rules:

• Total scores use only the last digit (e.g., 26 points = 6)
• 20 points counts as 0 (called "Đền")
• Special combinations beat normal scores:
  • Three Face Cards (Three Tiên)
  • Three-of-a-kind (Three Cào)
• Card suits (Hearts, Diamonds, Clubs, Spades) don't affect scoring
