How To Get Shroodle in Pokemon GO
The new year in Pokémon GO is off to a fantastic start, bringing trainers a wave of exciting new Pokémon to add to their collections! Following the arrival of Fidough, get ready to catch Shroodle, a mischievous addition to the Pokémon GO roster. However, unlike many Pokémon, obtaining Shroodle isn't as simple as a casual wild encounter.
When Did Shroodle Arrive in Pokémon GO?
Shroodle, the Toxic Mouse Pokémon, made its debut in Pokémon GO on January 15, 2025, as part of the Fashion Week: Taken Over event. Originally introduced in Pokémon Scarlet & Violet, Shroodle is a relatively new addition to the Pokémon world. Following the event, Shroodle will remain available for players to catch.
Can Shroodle Be Shiny?
Unlike some recent Pokémon releases, Shroodle will not be available in its Shiny form at launch. Expect its Shiny variant to appear in a future event, possibly one focused on Poison-type Pokémon or Team GO Rocket.
How to Get Shroodle in Pokémon GO

The trend of newly released Pokémon not appearing as wild spawns continues with Shroodle. Instead of appearing on your Nearby radar, you'll need to hatch Shroodle from 12KM Eggs. Currently, this is the only method to obtain Shroodle in Pokémon GO.
12KM Eggs collected from 12 AM local time on January 15th onwards have a chance of hatching Shroodle. While its appearance frequency might be higher during the Fashion Week: Taken Over event, it should remain part of the 12KM Egg pool afterward.
How to Get 12KM Eggs
Since Shroodle is exclusively hatched from 12KM Eggs, a quick reminder on how to obtain these rarer eggs is helpful. There's only one way:
Defeat Team GO Rocket Leaders (Sierra, Arlo, and Cliff) or Giovanni in battle. The Fashion Week: Taken Over event is an ideal time to stock up on 12KM Eggs, as Team GO Rocket will be more prevalent, and Rocket Radars will be easier to acquire. However, you can challenge GO Rocket Grunts at any time to encounter these Leaders and earn a 12KM Egg (provided you have inventory space).
How to Get Grafaiai in Pokémon GO

Grafaiai, Shroodle's evolution, also debuted in Pokémon GO on January 15th. Unlike Shroodle, it doesn't hatch from Eggs or spawn in the wild; evolution is the only way to obtain it.
Evolving a Shroodle into Grafaiai requires 50 Shroodle Candy. This means you'll need to hatch multiple Shroodle or make one your buddy to gather enough Candy.
Pokémon GO is available now.
