The Witcher saga continues! Nearly a decade after the critically acclaimed Witcher 3 captivated players worldwide, the first trailer for The Witcher 4 has dropped, introducing Ciri as the protagonist.

As Geralt's adopted daughter, Ciri steps into the spotlight as the Witcher's trilogy concludes. The teaser depicts Ciri intervening in a village's disturbing ritualistic sacrifice, revealing a far more complex situation than initially apparent.

While an official release date remains elusive, considering the development timelines of Witcher 3 (3.5-4 years) and Cyberpunk 2077, a 3-4 year wait for Witcher 4 seems likely. Early stages of production suggest a considerable development period.

Platform specifics are yet to be announced, but given the anticipated timeframe, a current-generation-only release (PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC) is probable. Unlike Witcher 3's Switch port, a similar feat seems unlikely this time, though a potential Switch 2 release remains a possibility.
