What is 'Poisoned'?

Poisoned is a Special Condition inflicting 10 HP damage at the end of each round, calculated during the Checkup phase. Unlike some effects, it persists until cured or the Pokemon is knocked out. While it can combine with other Special Conditions, multiple Poisoned effects don't stack; a Pokemon only loses 10 HP per turn. This status can be exploited by certain Pokemon, such as Muk, for increased damage.

Cards with Poison Ability

In the Genetic Apex expansion, five Pokemon can inflict Poisoned: Weezing, Grimer, Nidoking, Tentacruel, and Venomoth. Grimer stands out as a Basic Pokemon poisoning foes with just one Energy. Weezing's Gas Leak ability (usable only while Active) offers another strong option, requiring no Energy.
