The Appearance of Promo Card 008

The Promo Card section, previously neatly organized, was disrupted around January 2025 by the sudden appearance of an unobtainable card – Promo Card 008. This empty slot sits conspicuously between Professor Oak (007) and Pikachu (009) in the Promo – A Card Dex. While its existence might have been implied earlier by the numbering, it only recently appeared as a blank space in the list. This has naturally sparked player curiosity regarding its acquisition.

Unveiling Promo Card 008

Although currently unobtainable, investigating reveals its design. Accessing the "Related Cards" section for cards like Red Card (006) or Pokedex (004) shows a greyed-out version of Promo Card 008. This card depicts an alternate art Pokedex surrounded by Pikachu, Bulbasaur, Charmander, and Squirtle.

The card's information page confirms its unowned status and notes it will be "obtained from a campaign," similar to the New Year 2025 Pikachu card (Promo 026). This phrasing differs from cards acquired through missions or Wonder Pick events, suggesting a promotional giveaway tied to a specific event. The exact timing and method of obtaining Promo Card 008 remain undisclosed, but hopefully, it will become available soon.
