If you're a Pokémon GO enthusiast, you're in for a treat with several exciting events on the horizon. Alongside the ongoing Festival of Colors and Might and Mastery events, the Catch Mastery event is set to add even more excitement to your gaming experience.

Catch Mastery Brings the First Birdie for Pokémon GO!

Mark your calendars for March 16th, as the Catch Mastery event will run from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. local time. This event centers around Archen, the First Bird Pokémon, offering players a unique opportunity to encounter this prehistoric Pokémon. During the event, you'll see increased wild spawns of Omanyte and Kabuto, and there's a chance to find their Shiny versions.

Archen will be available as a Field Research reward, and the odds of encountering a Shiny Archen will be higher than usual. To sweeten the deal, the event includes XP bonuses: you'll earn double XP for Nice Throws or better, and for Curveball Throws.

Additionally, there's Timed Research focused on catching Rock-type Pokémon. If you're up for the challenge, you can complete up to 10 sets of tasks, which will reward you with a total of 40 Archen encounters.

The Mega Absol Raid Day Is also Happening Soon

Following the Catch Mastery event, the Mega Absol Raid Day is scheduled for March 23rd, from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. local time. This event introduces a new Charged Attack for Absol called Brutal Swing. Once the event kicks off, Absol will gain permanent access to this move, delivering 55 power in Trainer Battles and 65 power in gyms and raids.

From March 22nd at 5:00 p.m. PDT to March 23rd at 8:00 p.m. PDT, the Remote Raid Pass limit will be temporarily increased to 20. You'll also have the chance to obtain up to five additional free Raid Passes by spinning Gym Photo Discs, allowing you to collect a total of six passes for the day.
